Colorado Springs has so many lovely wedding venues, however none are as special to me as the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Church. I love photographing weddings in the same church my parents were married in. I also love how unique it is and working with couples who have a real connection to it, like I do.
I also spent a lot of my childhood at USAFA, it seemed like we spent every vacation there. Such a great place to hike and explore! I event made the very strenuous hike up Stanley Canyon when I was only 7 years old. I could go on and on, but I’ll save that for another post.
Now to share a little history about the church. It’s impressive construction boasts 17 spires soaring 150 feet into the sky. A lot of people don’t know that it actually is home to 5 churches in one, the main church pictured here is the Protestant Chapel. It’s stained glass windows colors actually graduate from dark to light, representing coming from the darkness into the light of God. The pinnacled ceiling is 99-feet-high and there are enough pews to seat 1,200 your closest friends and family.
